Whether it's a vibratory bowl feeder with its characteristically high output, a segment feeder with its inherent gentle handling of coated screws, or a step feeder for longer fasteners, DEPRAG's feeder portfolio has the breadth necessary to address almost any feeding application. Moreover, given the use of only high-alloyed and heat-treated steels for all critical components, DEPRAG's feeding systems excel through their durable industrial quality and high reliability.
In order to ensure the optimized feeding of your components, prior to delivery DEPRAG carries out a comprehensive duration test that utilizes customer-supplied components and simulates your production parameters.
To determine the most suitable feeding technology for your application, our experts will gladly work with you in gathering the necessary information and providing the options available. This includes the feeding criteria of your components, the advantage or disadvantage of the different feeding principles, the selection of a single- or multiple feeding process, and the determination of fixtures or screwdriver attachments that will work within your space constraints.
Energy efficient and smart technology
The innovative bowl feeder eacy feed provides ideal specifications for the sustainable production of tomorrow. With its approximately 80% power savings relative to older bowl feeder technology, the eacy feed is extremely energy efficient. In addition, it is particularly suitable for the challenges of the “smart factory”/Industry 4.0.
Sword feeders or segment feeders should be considered when fasteners are particularly sensitive to abrasion, thus requiring a gentler feeding environment.
Our segment feeders can be used for screw sizes M2 to M6 and are ideal for screws up to 25 mm in length.
The complete system, consisting of a storage container, material-handling technology, linear conveyor, separator, housing and controller – specially designed for longer screws – offers hassle-free, reliable operation with 24V technology, independent from house voltage and frequency.
When a particular fastener does not lend itself to blow feeding through a feedhose (for example where there is an unfavorable relationship between screw head diameter and overall length), DEPRAG offers special solutions such as the Pick-and-Place feeder with vacuum suction or removal by gripper. This approach can also be used if there are screw locations that are difficult to access.
Screw presenters are mainly used for applications where an automatic screw feeding machine is not cost-effective due to low volume. A screw presenter can process screws with thread sizes from M1 to M5 and a shaft length of up to 25 mm. Even screws that cannot be fed through a feedhose, for instance due to unfavorable dimensions, can be processed with a screw presenter.
The DEPRAG Tape-on-Reel feeder is specifically designed for the process-reliable and position-accurate delivery of adhesive components supplied on reel tape. Electric components can be removed from a reel by the peel-off carriage and positioned accurately.
This easy-to-access system can be integrated directly into your assembly machine.
Linear conveyors are often used to reduce distance of movement, to create a parts buffer, and to expand the parts stream.
Our robust linear conveyors assure the correct transport from the feed bowl without push-back pressure.
We offer an assortment of hoppers which make an ideal addition to our feeding systems. These belt-driven storage devices dramatically increase the required refill intervals. Moreover, our hoppers are flexible devices that can be used for different parts – a costly refitting is not necessary.
DEPRAG's Press-Insertion systems consist of coordinated modules, in particular:
By using vacuum assistance, the DEPRAG Feed Module (DFM) enables fastening operations in hard-to-access screw locations, as might be the case for instance with round housing forms.
